Abstract: During martial law, the task arises to better understand the human consequences of armed conflict for military personnel, who are a particularly vulnerable category of the population due to injuries sustained during active military operations. The aim of the study is to investigate the physical health status, level of physical activity, and quality of life of military personnel during martial law in Ukraine. Research methods include theoretical analysis of scientific literature and documentary materials; questionnaires (socio-demographic component), determination of physical activity (international IPAQ questionnaire), and quality of life (international SF-36 questionnaire); methods of mathematical statistics. The study involved 176 military personnel aged 18 to 31. The results of the study indicate the presence of health problems in a significant portion of military personnel, which may require additional attention and measures to improve their physical condition. Physical activity plays an important role in maintaining physical health, psychological well-being, welfare, and social interaction. Most military personnel (85.2%) have a high level of physical activity, which is a positive indicator. All respondents participated in physical activity exclusively for recreation, sports, and leisure during the last 7 days. According to the analysis of the frequency of types of physical activity during leisure time, walking was the most frequent throughout the week. The interpretation of the results regarding the quality of life of military personnel indicates their heterogeneity: minimum and maximum values on some scales ranged from 16 to 100 points (with max=100). The Рhysical component summary (PCS) was 54.59 points, the Mental component summary (MCS) was 53.38 points. Conclusions. Physical and emotional problems have a minor impact on the daily activities of military personnel, indicating their high level of adaptation and resilience to stress factors. Those who are dissatisfied with their physical health have lower quality of life indicators, emphasizing the importance of maintaining physical health for the overall well-being of this contingent.
