Abstract: The paper considers a set of counting lists of church clerks of the Kekhotsky volost of the last third of the XVII century. The significance of the counting lists is that they reveal one of the mechanisms that allowed the volost to control the activities of elected officials. The work provides a general characteristics of the preserved set of documents, identifies the features of the form of the counting lists, participation in the verification of representatives of the church authorities of the Dvinsky Uyezd.
