Abstract: Just like in other language teaching disciplines, materials play a critical role in the process of teaching Turkish as a foreign language to increase the retention of learning and make the process more enjoyable. In order for the target language to be effectively internalized, the materials used must be suitable for the students' levels and contribute to the balanced development of the four basic language skills. This not only enhances students' learning motivation but also makes language learning more efficient. The aim of this study is to determine the views of teachers who teach Turkish as a foreign language in Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the use of materials. A mixed-methods approach was used in the research. The research group consists of Turkish language teachers working at the high school level in Sarajevo, Bihać, and Tuzla, cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the framework of both quantitative and qualitative research, relevant sources were reviewed, and expert opinions were consulted to develop a data collection tool. A field study was conducted with the participation of Turkish language teachers through a semi-structured questionnaire consisting of closed-ended questions. The data obtained from this study were analyzed using the SPSS program, and frequency distributions and percentage rates were calculated. According to the results obtained, the use of materials in teaching Turkish as a foreign language significantly improves the learning process. Therefore, new materials need to be developed to enable teachers to provide more effective education. Additionally, regular training sessions and seminars should be organized to help teachers improve themselves in this regard, thereby increasing the quality of education.
