Abstract: This study explores the critical link between teacher salaries and performance in private schools in Faisalabad, Pakistan. With the private education sector rapidly expanding, concerns about low wages, lack of job security, and limited professional development have intensified. Findings reveal that financial constraints significantly impact teachers' perceptions of job opportunities, performance, and satisfaction. Most teachers reported that low and delayed salaries negatively affect their motivation, effectiveness, and overall job commitment. The methodology involved a quantitative approach using a structured questionnaire administered to 100 private school teachers selected through simple random sampling. Data were analyzed using SPSS, applying chi-square tests, logistic regression, and independent sample t-tests to identify associations between salary levels and teacher performance. Results confirmed a strong correlation between better salaries and improved teacher output. However, disparities in pay, limited transparency in salary structures, and lack of compensation for extra duties contribute to stress and high turnover rates. The study highlights the urgent need for standardized and transparent compensation systems that recognize both the financial and professional needs of private school teachers to enhance educational quality and retention.
