Abstract: This research was aimed at. To understand the conceptions of the members of the Santa Rosa de Lima Educational community of the city of Montería – Córdoba about the relationship between the area of Physical Education, Recreation and Sport, and peace. Materials and Methods. The population was made up of five students, two teachers and three parents of this institution; it was supported by the qualitative research approach and the ethnographic methodological design; for the collection of information the in-depth interview was used; and for analysis, techniques of coding and categorization. result. Made it visible to a conception of peace as a synonym of harmony and values; another, in which it is considered that the practices of physical education, recreation, sport and physical activity are generating values and habits of free time appropriate, therefore, of peace, that shows the relationship between these fields of knowledge; and a final conception, in that it reveals sports practices are located within the boundaries of the peace, and violence. As A Conclusion. It can be inferred that, with value-based behaviors, a good example, an adequate environment and the contribution of practices related to Physical Education, which generate active habits oriented to a healthy occupation of free time and the promotion of fair play; constitute an opportunity to generate peace, that is, quality of life.
