Abstract: The assemblages in the caves included pottery vessels, mainly oil lamps, a few juglets and a cooking pot, as well as glass vessels (Gorin-Rosen, this volume) and several metal artifacts. The most significant and rich assemblage was in Cave 3, which was not looted like the other caves and contained a varied number of items. 1 One important aspect of this study concerns the great diversity of oil lamps, which indicates extensive economical and cultural interconnections.
