Big bang nucleosynthesis within the scale invariant vacuum paradigm
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: ABSTRACT The scale invariant vacuum (SIV) paradigm is applied to the big bang nucleosynthesis using the known analytic expressions for the expansion factor $a(\tau)$ and the plasma temperature T as functions of the SIV time $\tau$ since the big bang, when the expansion factor was zero ($a(\tau =0)=0$). The results are compared to the known standard big bang nucleosynthesis model calculated with the primat code. We find that within SIV, the observed light element abundances need significantly lower baryon and dark matter densities than the standard Lambda cold dark matter model values, specifically the reduction factor is by a factor of 3–5 times smaller.
