Abstract: Product design will produce a series of knowledge achievements including design scheme and design process, and these knowledge achievements can be converted into legal protection of intellectual property rights under the premise of meeting the legal conditions. The protection mode of product design core results is divided into three types. The typical batch products are mainly protected by design patent. The products with high artistic creativity are mainly protected by copyright; The products in between take design patent protection as the main protection and copyright protection as the backup means. The results of the design process are mainly trading secrets protection.
