Abstract: Scimitar syndrome is a form of partial anomalous pulmonary venous return that results in venous drainage of the right lung into the inferior vena cava (IVC).1 It is usually associated with other cardiac and pulmonary anomalies, such as atrial septal defect (ASD), meso-dextroposition of the heart, hypoplasia of the right lung, and pulmonary hypertension.2 Several surgical techniques have been performed, most notably reimplantation of the scimitar vein into the left atrium3 and intra-atrial baffle repair.
