Analysis and Prospects of Directions of Improvement of Small-sized Single-shaft Vibratory Rollers
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The volumes of road construction and individual conditions of road construction work form and formulate the directions for improving road construction equipment, including machines for compacting soil and asphalt concrete surfaces, such as road rollers. Along with the production of road construction works, a special place is occupied by works related to their maintenance and operation. In matters of maintenance and operation of road surfaces, especially in cramped conditions of urban development, servicing of entry and access areas, pedestrian and walking areas, single-drum small-sized vibratory rollers can be successfully used. Single-drum small-sized vibratory rollers can be made with both mechanical and manual drives, have fairly good maneuverability. In recent years, there has been some decline in interest in the study, design of such rollers. Modern modeling methods and the availability of new design materials make it possible to consider the possibility of further improving machines of this class. Such a task at the present stage is associated with the need to develop and implement a vibration device with a fundamentally new law of motion of the working equipment. This task is primarily related to theoretical developments, with the analysis of the patent situation and the development of recommendations. The article examines the laws of change in the force impact on the working equipment of a small-sized single-drum roller - a drum and proposes a fundamentally new version of the ideal law of oscillations generated by a vibration device.
