Abstract: The study of the yukhaebeob of the water wheel in the late Joseon period was conducted simply according to historical flow, with only the contents of the literature focused on the study of ideology.Water wheel is an important humanities topic that allows us to understand the agricultural environment and science and technology of that time, as well as the practical thought of the welfare of the people.This study is a new convergence and complex historical research that adds humanities and sociological elements that show the field of science and engineering and the practical thought of the agricultural environment and welfare of the 18th to 19th century by analyzing the production technology of water wheels in physics.It is a study to expand the research area of the science and technology exploration of humanities and water wheels in the process of the development of water wheels in Europe, where the development of science and technology was rapid in that era, to lay the foundation for convergence and complex glocal contents and utilization methods that compare and analyze the water wheel in the Joseon era.Focusing on the original water wheel of the Honam region, which corresponds to today's automatic oriental water wheel, jaseungcha of Ha baek-won and the yukhaebeob of the Choi han-gi, the physical principles and humanities and sociological elements of the water wheel manufacturing technology were combined and comparatively analyzed.
