Abstract: With the advent of the artificial intelligence era, more and more scholars have launched relevant research on the application of artificial intelligence in higher education. With the help of CiteSpace software, this paper conducts econometric analysis on 347 documents related to artificial intelligence and higher education in the core collection of Web of Science. It is found that summarizing the annual publication volume of related research can be divided into three stages, the preliminary exploration stage (2014-2018), the rapid development stage (2019-2021), and the centralized outbreak stage (2022 to present); the hot topics of research on AI and higher education are the AI to higher education The hot topics of research on AI and higher education are the impact of AI on higher education, the system construction and resource construction of AI in higher education, and the application of AI-related technologies in higher education.
