Abstract: Introduction. The review contains a description of the monograph by A.S. Ilnitsky “Countering criminal ideology on the Internet” (Moscow, Yurlitinform, 2024. 144 p.). The advantage of the monograph is an empirical analysis of the content of criminal ideology, based on the implementation of a unique set of methods. The potential of the work lies in raising its theoretical level so that it can fully serve as a guideline in the implementation of digital research in the field of criminal law sciences. Conclusion. The monograph should be evaluated as an innovative work, which is an example of a methodology for exploring the modern media space.
