Type: article
Abstract: The bibliographic records and current records of Halobates micans in the coastal areas of the Iberian Peninsula and the Canary Islands are compiled. In the Iberian Peninsula, the two existing records are located at the northern (Finisterre, La Coruña) and southern (Cortadura beach, Cádiz) extremes of the Iberian Atlantic coast. In the Canary Islands, the presence of H. micans has been recorded on the coasts of the islands of Fuerteventura, La Gomera, El Hierro and Tenerife. Many of the records have occurred after strong storms that have pushed the specimens towards the coasts.
