Abstract: This article aims to analyse the current state of legal regulation concerning climate change in Mongolia, focusing on related policies, legislations, institutions, and funding mechanisms. It concludes that climate change related legal, institutional, and financial mechanisms have been evolving in a fragmented manner due to unclear mandates and the differing challenges faced by urban and rural populations. This lack of a coherent legal approach risks further fragmentation, reduced legal effectiveness, and blurred accountability. The article proposes some possible ways for improvement to promote a more systematic way of climate change legal system development in Mongolia.
