Abstract: Among modern talented masters of Ukrainian poetic word, Viacheslav Yevhenievych Romanovskyi (born in 1947) holds a prominent place. V. Romanovskyi has been in literature for over half a century. He is a well-experienced poet, an elder member of the lyrical guild, a recognized Master to whom young writers turn for advice. Each collection of V. Romanovskyi’s works provoked the appearance of a significant number of comments, reviews, scientific investigations, etc. There are newly appeared works whose authors analyze not each separate collection, but V. Romanovskyi's poetic work as a whole. As a result, there is a need to organize this material and publish it as a separate book. The relevance, timeliness and novelty of the book seem indisputable. The collection contains 42 works, which characterize the work of the famous Ukrainian poet over a long period of time – from 1972 to 2018. It gives some insight to the literary process in Ukraine as a whole, in particular during a very dramatic period of the demise of one great state and the emergence of territorially smaller state formations.
