Abstract: This study aims to identify the factors causing difficulties in reading Arabic texts and to explore the learning strategies applied in teaching maharoh qiroah (reading skills) at Madrasah Diniyah Darul Lughah Wal Karomah Putra. The research questions in this study consist of two main aspects: first, the factors causing difficulties faced by students in reading Arabic texts; and second, the learning strategies used to develop reading skills in Arabic. This study uses a qualitative method with a triangulation approach, namely interviews, observations, and documentation, to obtain more valid and comprehensive data. The results show that the factors causing difficulties in reading Arabic texts at this madrasah include a lack of basic understanding of the Arabic language, insufficient structured reading practice, and limited mastery of vocabulary and Arabic grammar. Meanwhile, the maharoh qiroah learning strategies applied include the use of interactive methods, such as contextual-based learning, repeated reading techniques, and the use of supportive media. With the implementation of these strategies, students are expected to overcome difficulties in reading Arabic texts and significantly improve their Arabic literacy.
