Abstract: This study explores the relevance and effectiveness of ethnomathematics-based learning in supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the era of Society 5.0. Integrating local culture into mathematics education is believed to enhance students’ critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted by analyzing journals and conference proceedings published between 2019 and 2025. The findings show that ethnomathematics improves students’ understanding of mathematical concepts through the Merdeka Curriculum. Moreover, this approach addresses the challenges of Society 5.0 by integrating digital technologies into ethnomathematics-based learning. This study contributes to developing a more holistic and contextual learning model that connects local cultural values with educational demands in the Society 5.0 era
