Abstract: Natura 2000: Project or area management measure? // The article deals with new decisions of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) and the Federal Administrative Court (BVerwG) regarding habitat protection law (key word: Abolition of hunting closed seasons) and describes their practical implications. It addresses the question of what requirements must be met for an administrative measure in the area to exist that is not subject to the obligation of an impact assessment under the Habitats Directive (HD).
