Type: article
Abstract: The knowledge of weed communities about agricultural crops is very important to carry out adequate and efficient control, thus the phytosociological survey is a tool that makes it possible to know these weeds. The objective of this work was the phytosociological survey of the main weed species in banana cultivation areas with different ages in the edaphoclimatic conditions of the city of Rorainopolis-RR. The survey was carried out at the Henz nursery in October 2021. The samples were taken using a 0.5 m square (0.25 m2), being launched 13 times in each area in a zigzag path. Weeds were quantified and classified according to family, species and common name, through the data obtained, it was possible to calculate the phytosociological indices: Frequency (F), Density (D), Abundance (A), Relative frequency (Fr%), Relative Density (Dr%), Relative Abundance (Ar%), Importance Value Index (IVI), Relative Importance (Ir%) and Similarity Index (IS). The species with the highest importance index were: Fimbristylis miliacea and Urochloa plantaginea for areas 1 and 2. The similarity index between the two areas was 51%.
