Research on the Anion Composition of Natural Waters From Various Sources Water Supply for Their Use for Drinking Farm Animals and Poultry
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This article substantiates the need to control the chemical composition of natural waters when using them for watering farm animals and poultry, describes the role of water in processes vital for the functioning of the body and the need to control its quality and safety. The dependence of the chemical composition of water on the influence of a number of natural, biological factors, as well as factors related to human activity, is noted, and a number of cations and anions of macro- and microelements that affect the quality and harmlessness of drinking water are also given. The section "Methods and Materials" contains the test methodology, the device used, standard samples for constructing a calibration curve, analysis conditions for the "Kapel-105M" device and environmental conditions during the research. To maintain the purity of the experiment, bidistilled water was analyzed for the content of the studied indicators, under the conditions of the corresponding analysis. The object of the research was natural water from various water supply sources, the quality and safety of which was controlled by the content of anions: sulfates, chlorides, fluorides, nitrates, nitrites and phosphates. According to the results of the research, water samples from centralized and rural water supply sources, according to the studied quality and harmlessness indicators, do not exceed the maximum permissible levels for drinking water established by DSTU 7525:2014 and DSanPiN 2.2.4-171-10 (as amended), and can be used for watering animals and poultry. The content of these same indicators in water samples from wells was higher than in samples from other water supply sources, although it did not exceed the permissible levels. Therefore, when using water from wells, a number of factors that affect the chemical composition of such water should be taken into account and the quality and safety should be controlled before using it for watering animals and poultry.
