Multiplicative generalised polynomial sequences

Abstract: We fully classify completely multiplicative sequences which are given by generalised polynomial formulae, and obtain a similar result for (not necessarily completely) multiplicative sequences under the additional restriction that the sequence is not zero almost everywhere.
