Abstract: This article addresses the issues of improving the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of forensic and criminalistics activities. It discusses the main aspects and mechanisms of realizing citizens' rights and freedoms through forensic activities, including the use of technical means and specialized knowledge. The article highlights the development of the forensic expert institution system in Russia and the need for legislative improvements to ensure the quality of legal protection activities and to enhance the efficiency of law enforcement.
