Strategic Financial Interventions for Small Business Sustainability in Economically Disadvantaged Communities
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This paper explores the role of strategic financial interventions in promoting small business sustainability within economically disadvantaged communities. Drawing on global case studies from Kenya’s M-Pesa and Bangladesh’s Grameen Bank to the U.S. PPP Loan Program the research identifies core mechanisms that support resilience: microfinance, digital financial inclusion, public-private partnerships, and capacity-building. Results demonstrate that community-centric and technology-driven interventions are most effective when tailored to local contexts and inclusive of vulnerable groups such as women and rural entrepreneurs. The paper concludes with a framework for scalable intervention design that integrates financial inclusion, ecosystem development, and digital transformation to foster inclusive recovery and long-term economic resilience.
