Abstract: This paper introduces an AI-based empathetic chatbot that provides supportive conversations to people facing mental health challenges. using the Flask framework, Google Dialogflow for natural language processing (NLP). The chatbot understands and responds to user inputs with a friendly and an understanding tone. The Dialogflow platform enables the conversational interaction with users, making the system more interactive and accessible. By integrating NLP, the chatbot processes user inputs and delivers compassionate, non-judgemental and reassuring responses. This paper describes the architecture, methodology, and benefits of using such a system in mental health context, highlighting its potential to enhance mental health support through empathetic and context-aware interactions.
