Abstract: It is important to ensure the precise delivery of Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) from batching plants to construction sites for quality control and cost-effectiveness. This research suggests an automated, sensor-based system for tracking concrete weight changes enroute to identify possible material theft. The system employs ultrasonic sensors to monitor chassis displacement versus a leveled ground plane upon loading and un loading. By calculating the distance change, the volume and its associated weight of the concrete are calculated. The data thus obtained is processed through an onboard microcontroller system and compared between loading and unloading stations to determine inconsistencies. Initial validations reveal precise measurement accuracy with negligible deviation, providing real-time monitoring of material integrity. This technology presents a non-destructive, affordable option to conventional weighbridge-based monitoring, adding transparency to concrete logistics.
