Investment Lending and Financing in the Russian Economy: Trends and Development Risks

Abstract: Increasing the volume of investment loans and financing contributes to the formation of investment potential, which is one of the most important economic priorities of the state. The study of the current state, problems and programs to support investment activities in order to achieve sustainable economic growth is an urgent prob-lem for science and practice. The dynamics of socio-economic processes in recent years have been multifac-eted, and are significantly influenced by many negative factors. That is why understanding and searching for sources of investment projects, as well as their implementation in the conditions of new realities, is necessary from the point of view of determining methods and approaches to ensuring sustainable state development. The article discusses the theoretical basis for the implementation of investment lending in the activities of commer-cial banks, reveals the types of investment projects and substantiates their importance for the development of the Russian economy. An analysis of the dynamics of investment lending in the practice of Russian banks for 2017–2024 is carried out. and highlights the main external and internal risks that arise when implementing in-vestment lending, and also proposes measures to reduce them.
