Smart Ev Charger With Secure Iot-baed Monitoring and Hybrid Solar Grid Network Integration for Distributed Node Applications

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The demand for dependable, intelligent, and efficient charging infrastructure has increased due to the quick uptake of electric vehicles (EVs).Grid overloading, low energy efficiency, lack of real-time monitoring, and low use of renewable energy sources are some of the drawbacks of conventional grid-dependent charging systems. To address these issues, this study suggests a Smart EV Charger system that combines a hybrid solar-grid energy source with safe Internet of Things-based monitoring, especially for dispersed node applications. The system architecture creates a flexible and robust hybrid energy source by integrating solar photovoltaic (PV) modules with the current electrical grid.Real-time monitoring of critical metrics including voltage, current, state of charge (SOC), temperature, solar irradiation, and grid status is made possible by a secure Internet of Things architecture that consists of sensors, microcontrollers, and cloud-based data gathering. With an emphasis on real-time data visualization and a comparison between traditional grid-only systems and the hybrid IoT-enabled approach, the suggested technique is put into practice and evaluated using MATLAB Simulation Software. The creation of a hybrid solar-grid EV charging model, the application of intelligent energy switching logic, safe real-time monitoring via the Internet of Things, and improved charging dynamics visualization are some of the research's main accomplishments. The system is well-suited for decentralized and scalable EV charging applications, as evidenced by simulation results showing enhanced operational performance, higher energy usage, and more intelligent load control.
