Abstract: BACKGROUND. Sarcopenic obesity is a clinical condition characterized by a combination of excess body weight and a decrease in muscle mass and strength. This condition leads to reduced physical functionality and increased risk of disability in older adults. Despite its impact on quality of life and prognosis, the diagnosis and management of sarcopenic obesity remain challenging in geriatric practice. Studying the clinical characteristics of these patients can contribute to the development of more effective strategies for their care.
