Abstract: The present research is descriptive and exploratory in nature and aims to provide empirical evidence on the behaviour of the investor's toward mutual funds by considering its relationship with risk perception, return perception, investment criteria, mutual fund awareness, and financial literacy.Data were collected using a questionnaire from Retail mutual fund investors.Sampling technique was used to collect data from Thane District of State of Maharashtra.The Findings of this study provide better information and guidance to investors and policymakers on the factors that affect the behaviour of mutual fund investors.
