Abstract: Introduction: Self-collection for human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA detection purposes has the potential to help identifying patients with high-risk diseases in cancer screening-challenging populations. Objectives: Investigating the feasibility of screening HPV based on molecular tests applied to self-collected samples deriving from oral and anal cavities of freedom-deprived women (FDW) with detectable cervical HPV in Amazonas State (AM); analyzing the association between HPV incidence in samples collected from oral and anal cavities of women with detectable cervical HPV. Methods: Observational, cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical study conducted with FDW presenting detectable HPV in the cervicovaginal region, in Amazonas State, from June 2019 to September 2020. FDW self-collected oral and anal samples based on using the Coari® Device to have HPV incidence in them analyzed through HPV 40™ test. Results: In total, 50 women were analyzed; their mean age was 29.8 years. HPV was detected in oral samples of 12 (24%) women and in anal samples of 31 (62%) women. There was agreement between samples in 36.9% of women. Conclusion: Using self-collection and molecular tests enabled detecting HPV in participants’ anal and oral cavities. HPV incidence in one topography increased the risk of its incidence in the other topography.
