Abstract: The authors designed, demonstrated, and modeled a new variation of alkali-metal-noble-gas comagnetometer using pulsed optical pumping. They demonstrate that the comagnetometer has dual-axis sensitivity, avoids pump laser light shifts by measuring in the dark, and suppresses perturbation from pump and probe beam pointing fluctuations.
