Year: 2024
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: To gain a comprehensive understanding of the status and development trends in international research on dissociation, we analyzed 1,396 English articles on the subject from the Web of Science Core Collection database, published between 2000 and 2024. Using CiteSpace software for visualization, our analysis reveals a steady annual increase in the number of publications on dissociation research. Leading research institutions include Harvard University, the University of London, and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. High-frequency keywords include PTSD, trauma, childhood trauma, dissociative disorders, and associated symptoms. The research focuses on seven key areas: dissociative disorders and experiences, trauma and post-traumatic responses, personality disorders and childhood trauma, self-cognition and physiological responses, emotion regulation, and behavioral responses, neuroscience, and research methods and validation. This study highlights the complexity of dissociation research and the latest international advancements, underscoring the importance of interdisciplinary and international collaboration, and offering valuable insights for Chinese researchers.
