Efficient Battery Monitoring System

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: This project seeks to create a new system that applies IoT technology to mitigate the issues associated with batteries today. It employs various crucial components: the ESP8266 microcontroller, ZMPT101B voltage sensor, ACS712 current sensor, DHT11 temperature sensor, and the RTC DS1307 module. These parts work together to determine the condition of the battery by obtaining accurate information with timestamps. This system is not limited to simply showing real-time data. It also makes it possible for users to see the health status of their battery via a mobile application or website, no matter where they are. It also sends instant alerts if there are any problems, including overvoltage, over current, overheating, or if the charge in the battery drops very low. All the data gathered is stored for future usage to support maintenance and make decisions effectively in the future. This battery management system is energy-saving, cost-reducing, and scalable, which makes it suitable for applications from small electric cars to big energy storage installations. The project has a detailed study that demonstrates the system is technically feasible, simple to use, and economically viable. Its architecture is future-proof, ready to accommodate artificial intelligence or machine learning for deeper analysis, allowing it to evolve with evolving smart energy technologies. Essentially, this project presents an end-to-end battery management solution that outpaces conventional boundaries, addressing the increasing demand for smart, networked battery management. With the inclusion of IoT features, data monitoring, remote diagnostics, and safety features, not only does it improve battery performance and dependability but also helps ensure sustainability targets for future electric transport and smart grids.
