Abstract: Summary This article presents a new proposal about the social structure of the communities that inhabited the south‐east of the Iberian Peninsula during the first millennium BC, based on the study of domestic and funerary spaces. We intend to widen the argument for a social structuring based on House Societies, based on recognizing the impact of certain cross‐cultural patterns on settlements and cemeteries. The new hypotheses put forward by other authors, and advanced further by many more, pursue a variety of approaches made in scrutinizing Iberian societies. This paper presents less hierarchical and more flexible formulas than those observed in other areas of the contemporary Iberian Peninsula, which are based on patron‐client relationships.
