Abstract: Hollow organizations are organizations that outsource their daily business operations and have only a few resources on hand.A few key personnel or brokers manage the most critical areas of the businesses with resources tending to zero.This allows such organizations to respond to market changes of VUCA world faster, have an open network to govern production of goods and services and be united by a shared purpose in the network.Semi permanence of unified or distributed broker roles, which could be machines and/or men, is a limiting condition for hollow organizations.We propose the governing philosophy, operating logic, application and risks in such organizations in this paper.
