Abstract: Aim: clinical isolates from the Federal Medical Center Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria. Methods: was phenotypically identified using Microgen staph ID system and PSM-mec and PVL genes were detected using polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Results: (42.8%), while the PVL was the least abundant with 21.4%. Conclusion: virulence determinants as well as PSM-mec and PVL as targets for antimicrobial agents.
