Abstract: The aim of writing this article is to explain the role of strategic management in improving school quality, using qualitative methods and research objects at At Taqwa Pamulang Islamic Elementary and Middle School, South Tangerang City, Banten, Indonesia. In this article the author offers a solution to improve the quality of schools, especially at At Taqwa Islamic Elementary and Middle School, to transform by implementing strategic management, namely through management to improve the quality of education in the form of Planning, Organizing, Actuating and Controlling, all of which are carried out in order to achieve school goals. Everything is done cyclically starting from the planning stage, program implementation, to the monitoring and evaluation stage. From the results of initial observations it is known that without implementation, school quality will not improve. So, to ensure the growth of quality schools, the implementation of management to improve the quality of education will make schools quality. Hopefully this article can be an inspiration for every school that expects excellent quality.
