Abstract: Since the upheaval instantiated by the October Revolution, within Soviet animation an inseparable relationship with both political dynamics and evolving cultural frameworks may be observed. In the decades of the 1950s and 1960sa period subsequent to Stalins demise and characterized by the heightened tensions of the Cold War eraalterations in style as well as thematic innovation entered animated productions, wherein a pronounced investigation into nationalization appeared among central preoccupations. Notably, through the adoption of iconographic analytical methodologies is undertaken in this paper an interpretative approach toward *The Twelve Brothers-Months*, *Big Troubles*, and *Man in A Frame*; these works are situated amidst their unique socioeconomic milieus. Interrogated thereby are emblematic visual elements and aesthetic judgments implicit within such animations. From this analysis, it is discernible that fruitful guidance arises for the incorporation of nationalist motifs into the developmental trajectory of Chinese animated artistic production.
