Abstract: The review is devoted to the VIII International Conference “Russian Literature of the 20th–21st Centuries as a Whole Process (Issues of Theoretical and Methodological Research)”, where works on the most pressing problems of modern Russian literature were presented: theory and methodology, genre and style trends, the problem of the author, and his aesthetic guidelines; the conceptual apparatus of modern literary criticism was discussed.
