Abstract: As the core carrier of excellent traditional Chinese culture, intangible cultural heritage carries the genetic essence of the national spirit and possesses irreplaceable cultural inheritance and humanistic education value. Influenced by its dynamic and regional characteristics, the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage requires exploring innovative paths that align with regional characteristics. In the protection system of intangible cultural heritage, the cultivation of inheritors is a key link in promoting the dynamic inheritance and innovative development of intangible cultural heritage. Currently, the inheritance of Yi ethnic group’s intangible cultural heritage handicrafts mainly relies on family inheritance and traditional apprenticeship models. However, universities, as important frontiers for regional cultural inheritance and innovation, have unique advantages in the dissemination of intangible cultural heritage knowledge, the construction of education systems, and the innovation of talent cultivation models. Based on the theory of cultural symbiosis, this paper deeply explores the practical exploration, realistic dilemmas, and optimization strategies of modern apprenticeship in the cultivation of intangible cultural heritage inheritors. It aims to respond to the needs of local intangible cultural heritage inheritance talent cultivation, further enhance the ability of universities to serve local cultural construction, and provide new theoretical perspectives and practical paths for the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage.
