Abstract: This study explores the application of generative artificial intelligence (Generative AI) in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and its impact on innovation capacity and economic growth. Through a survey of SMEs and data analysis, the study empirically examines the positive influence of Generative AI usage on enterprise innovation and economic growth, with enterprise innovation acting as a mediating factor. The findings reveal that Generative AI significantly enhances the innovation capacity of SMEs, thereby promoting economic growth. This research not only enriches the theoretical studies on the relationship between Generative AI, corporate innovation, and economic growth but also provides practical guidance for SMEs and policymakers, advocating for the widespread adoption of Generative AI to achieve higher levels of economic and innovative development.
