Long Term Observations and Mortality Rates in ALS Patients Treated with Autologous Mesenchymal Cell Transplantations

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Survival in ALS is highly variable, ranging from a few months to many years. Population-based prospective registries showed that up to a third of the patients die within one year from diagnosis [1-3]. In this short communication we present our long-term observations (~15 years) in terms of severe adverse events and survival rates, in patients treated with autologous mesenchymal stem cells, who participated in 3 previous open-label studies, in our center at Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem, Israel.
