Abstract: The first book, dedicated to prof. Gustav Weigand in Bulgaria, is presented. The content includes detailed information about the path taken by the professor, his unique analyses and linguistic comparisons, which showed the place of the Bulgarian language in the rich linguistic palette of the Balkans and the South-Eastern Europe.
