Abstract: In the early 1930s, Romania received – through various diplomatic channels – numerous alarming news about the warlike tendency of the USSR. In parallel with this, diametrically opposite news also arrived in our country, which announced the intention of the Soviet government to negotiate with the Romanian state in order to conclude a non-aggression pact. The present article outlines some of the directions employed in the mentioned process.
