Abstract: Introduction: The "Impacts of the Quota Law on Afro-Brazilians/Indigenous Education and Brazil's National Interest" study was conducted in the context of Brazil's ongoing efforts to address historical inequities in education and promote social mobility among marginalized groups. Objective: The research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the 2012 Quota Law, which reserves 50% of federal university admissions for Afro-Brazilians and Indigenous populations, in improving access to education and enhancing socioeconomic outcomes. Methodology: Using surveys of past beneficiaries, the study collected data on educational attainment, employment, income, and representation in STEM fields. Results: Findings indicated a significant increase in Afro-Brazilian enrollment in federal universities, with over 75% of respondents employed and more than half earning salaries exceeding R$5000, showcasing improved economic prospects. However, underrepresentation in STEM fields was identified as a critical area requiring further intervention. Conclusion: The study concluded that the Quota Law has been transformative, fostering diversity, inclusivity, and economic empowerment, thereby contributing to Brazil's national interests. To sustain and expand its impact, the study recommends strengthening affirmative action policies, addressing systemic barriers, and promoting greater representation in STEM fields to ensure equity and opportunity for all marginalized groups.
