The Efficiency of Using the Metal Chelate Complex With Amino Acids and Biotin for the Correction of Iron Deficiency Anemia in Horses
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The article describes a method for correcting iron deficiency anemia in horses caused by intestinal invasion, the action of anthelmintics and a lack of iron in their body. The method includes introducing into the diet of horses a biologically active feed additive containing a complex of metal chelates with amino acids and biotin, at a dose of 5 ml per 100 kg of live weight once a day for 14 days without intervals. The complex is introduced in the morning feeding of horses with oats, starting from the 3rd day after deworming. The method provides correction of anemic syndrome, the iron deficiency in particular, and allows to quickly restore strength in horses after intestinal invasion and deworming.
