Deep learning-based recovery and management after total hip arthroplasty

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Background As a widely performed orthopaedic procedure, total hip arthroplasty effectively addresses painful and dysfunctional hip conditions. Despite its established success, recovery patterns show considerable variation among individuals, influenced by diverse patient factors. Traditional standardized care protocols may not fully meet specific patient requirements, potentially affecting recovery outcomes. Modern developments in data analysis present new possibilities for tailoring postoperative management to individual needs. Methods Our research examined extensive clinical data spanning the preoperative, surgical, and recovery phases. Data collection encompassed patient characteristics, health records, operative records, and recovery markers, including pain assessment, movement capability, and adverse events. The study compared outcomes between conventional care recipients and those managed with individualized approaches based on predictive analysis. Treatment plans were developed using pattern recognition from comprehensive patient data analysis. Results Data evaluation revealed strong predictive accuracy for recovery patterns. The group receiving individualized care demonstrated enhanced recovery metrics, particularly in functional restoration and movement ability, compared to standard treatment recipients. This cohort also showed lower incidence of post-surgical complications, with decreased cases of infections, joint displacement, and blood clot formation. Patient satisfaction surveys indicated higher approval ratings among those receiving personalized care. Conclusion Implementation of individualized care strategies shows promise in shortening recovery duration, minimizing complications, and enhancing both patient satisfaction and life quality measures.
