A Blockchain-Based Secure Data-Sharing Framework for Automotive Supply Chains: Enhancing Privacy with Attribute-Based Encryption
Year: 2025
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) encounter significant challenges in facilitating secure and efficient data sharing, as they must strike a delicate balance between maintaining stringent data confidentiality and enabling seamless collaboration across diverse stakeholders. Compounding these difficulties are the complexities of implementing robust access control mechanisms, ensuring data integrity, and adhering to rigorous regulatory compliance, all of which pose substantial obstacles to the development of scalable and interoperable datas-haring frameworks. This paper proposes a secure and efficient blockchain-based data-sharing model that is tailored for OEM to enhance collaboration and ensure privacy-preserving. The Hyperledger Fabric sample (FabCar) was used for benchmarking and comparative analysis. The proposed solution was thoroughly tested to verify its security, scalability, reliability, and capability to maintain privacy while enabling efficient data exchange. Experimental results revealed that the model imposed only negligible computational overhead during encryption and decryption, ensuring optimal performance and seamless functionality.
