Abstract: Colorectal cancer (CRC) remains a leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. The clinical challenge in managing CRC is rooted in its molecular and cellular heterogeneity, which underlies its diverse responses to therapy. To better stratify patients and guide treatment, CRC has been classified into consensus molecular subtypes (CMS).1 Among them, CMS4 is the most aggressive, marked by mesenchymal features, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and robust angiogenesis.2 Despite its clinical importance, the mechanisms driving CMS4 remain poorly understood.
